A National Internship for Dream Act Student Leaders 

The Dream Act student movement has galvanized support from millions of people throughout the nation. With almost no paid staff, no lobbyists, and few financial resources, undocumented immigrant students have mobilized a powerful movement. This past year the immigrant rights community has seen a record number of deportations and attacks on the basic human rights of immigrants. Inhumane anti-immigrant laws have continued to spring up in various parts of the country. Yet undocumented students have courageously continued to question and fight against these harsh policies by pushing progressive reforms forward. Dreamers in California were successful at passing the CA Dream Act, dreamers in Arizona lead a successful campaign to recall Russell Pierce and acts of civil disobedience have occurred throughout the nation to challenge the harsh deportation policies faced by the immigrant community.
